Useful Library Services for In-Service

Hello everyone.  This blog is part of an assignment about using and creating blogs for EDM 510.  I hope you will find this blog easy to use and helpful.  Now, let's get started.

School is fast approaching!!  As the LMS, at my school, I am considering topics to cover during my "back to school" library services and materials in-service for teachers.  I have come up with a list of topics that I think would be useful for teachers as they prepare to begin school, but I would love to have your input.  There will not be enough time for me to go over every service with the teachers, so I need your help to prioritize my list. 

Simply, rearrange the bulleted list I am providing in the order that you think would be most helpful to teachers.  Please place the topic you would consider to be the most useful at the top and the topic that would be the least useful at the bottom.  I would love to know why you selected a certain topic to be the most useful.  Also, if you have any suggestions for different topics, just add those to your list.

• Using Alabama Virtual Library
• Accessing our library software system from your classroom or home
• Audio visual materials and equipment
• Setting up collaboration times for upcoming projects
• Using Accelerated Reader in the classroom
• Periodicals for students and integrating them into the classroom
• Classroom book sets with suggested lesson plans and ideas
